Workout with us – CO2 Tabata Workout
What do we do at our temporary playground? Did you not see my last post? Well, we PLAY! We play and try stuff that we can’t normally do at the gyms we are employed at, because at our playground, we are the boss!
One of the projects is to add more videos to our library to connect with the community and with social media.
Our first video at our CO2 Fit playground was a Tabata workout. It was actually a format suggested by Amy, but she had to be at another business appointment so it was up to me and Val to test out the workout and have the pleasure of getting our suffering (?) recorded.
The video is long, so in case you don’t want to watch the whole video to workout along with us, here is the summary of the exercises.
Tabata rounds of 20 sec work, 10 sec rest, 4 sets per exercise:
- Warm up – Jumping Jacks
- Squat Jump w/ Overhead Press (option – no jump, no weight)
- Supergirl pushups (option – on knees)
- Hover Jacks (options – toe taps)
- Sandbag Lunges (option – bodyweight lunges)
- Forward Tuck Jumps (option – two small forward jumps)
- Sandbag Drags (option – smaller weight plate)
WARNING: We don’t look pretty in this video – but they do say, if you look pretty after workout, it means you didn’t workout hard enough. Also, it was humbling to watch the video and realize my own form as the trainer/instructor was not up to par on some exercises. But hey, we are all trying to learn from this and improve, so if you are going to be a hater, please go away! For the rest of you, enjoy the video of me and Val kicking our own butts!
