About The Owner – Seo Kelleher
Hi, I’m Seo Kelleher, Owner and Operator of CO2Fit, a certified fitness & nutrition coach, personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
If you’ve ever thought about how hard it is to juggle a job, family, all the demands and stress coming from having such responsibilities AND working out for fitness, I hear you. I have been there.
For over a decade, I worked as a 9-to-5 marketing professional with a busy travel schedule. After years of working a desk job and maintaining household responsibilities as a weekend warrior, I often found it challenging to stay healthy and active, too. Even though I frequently worked out at a gym, I was not happy with the way I looked or how I felt. So I decided to challenge myself by becoming a certified as a group fitness instructor.
By teaching group fitness classes in the evenings and on the weekends, I became more motivated to improve my own fitness because I now had to motivate and inspire others to become healthier.
Helping people achieve their personal fitness goals quickly became my passion. I actively pursued education in fitness and nutrition, getting certified and practicing what I learned each day. My passion for helping people achieve their personal fitness goals continued to grow over time, and in June 2012 I left the corporate world to dedicate myself full-time in my own health and fitness business, CO2Fit.
The CO2Fit slogan, “Your Challenge, Together” stems from my experience and shows our commitment to provide the necessary tools and coaching to help you overcome YOUR challenges, not to adhere to a predetermined lifestyle set forth by fitness “experts.” At CO2Fit, having fun and supporting others while working on your own goals is an essential part of health & wellness. We accept imperfections and work together to improve upon them.
I have experienced how difficult it is to be 100% committed to a strict diet and exercise regimen. My personal nutrition plan is to follow the 80/20 rule—it is important to eat healthy and train hard, but I also understand the happiness-inducing power of a donut!
I see that many of us struggle with the idea of “All or Nothing” when it comes to fitness. In reality, fitness is a process. I strongly believe each person has a unique challenge that should be identified and addressed to get to the next step. For some, it is finding a more efficient workout; for another, it is learning to shop for groceries in a healthy way.
Developing a personalized health and fitness plan which breaks down each step into manageable tasks and providing ongoing coaching for support is the best approach to help a person overcome confusion and frustration about getting fit.
I try to be realistic and open-minded when it comes to fitness—there is no all-encompassing method that works for everyone. I want to help all people attain their realistic goals. You don’t have to look like a fitness model or bodybuilder—though you can if you want—you just have to be happy with how you look and feel.
